YUI – The Best Ajax Framework?

I keep on writing some web application, that’s mainly for learning the internals of Django. What I want is to be fully html (seo optimized) on the front, and full ajax in the control panel. Last timeĀ  I was looking for an easy way of writing ajax based interfase. I found dojo. Last time when I was looking at this it was tottaly useless but the version 1.0 look really great. I had only problems that the example sites didn’t validate properly. This could be a problem or this could not be a problem but I really want the web pages that I make to fully validate with the w3c validators.

JQuery or Prototype

While googling I found some opinions about how great jQuery and Prototype are. Maybe they are great but they are so low level that writing more complicated things will take a lot of time.

Yahoo User Interface

Last time I got back to YUI (Yahoo User Interface). There will be new version 3.0 released soon but the previous version is really great. There is all that I need: nice menu, buttons, grid and tabs. And of course everything fully themed with css. There is also a nice example of what we can achieve using YUI – a simple Pacman game.
