Plans For Next Year

Last evening I realized that I didn’t make any plans for the future for a quite long time. Without careful planning it is sometimes hard to achieve ones goals, without plannig you don’t know about any goals and how they look like. So I wanted to make a list of my goals to achieve to the end of the year 2009.

  • change a job – get something new, interesting, to have the possibility to learn a lot.
  • read at least one book in every two months – but I don’t have enough time for that, I’d start with The Lord of The Rings, well… for the 8th time
  • finish a web framework in C++ – this is the funniest and most long term project, creating a web application framework in C++ would give some nice features
  • write at least one chapter of my book about PostgreSQL in every two months – another this that it is difficult to find time for
  • pass the Oracle and Mysql exams
  • change the mail client to mutt
